As we continue building a "transparent and connected learning community" at @KnappElementary, below is raw tweetage of our 1st week of school. It was Storified and sent to all families to encourage them to "Learn With Us On Twitter" and of course engage in school happenings on a deeper level. Pictures and takeaways of teacher in-service days, Home & School Meeting, New Family Orientation Night, 1st Day of School, Assemblies, parent & teacher interactions and more are included. On any given day, parents, teachers and community members can take the "pulse" of our school by simply checking our feed on the front page of our Family Engagement Wiki. The 2-way communications you will see happening within the Storify compliment home-school face to face opportunities - All aimed at building relationships, which are so important to invest in early and often.

Great post! It looks like there are tons of great things going on at Knapp Elem. I love it when school leaders, like yourself, share the learning that is going on at their schools.
